Last weekend, Michelle Brock of Dahlonega GA was the lucky winner of tickets to see GA Tech play against the Clemson Tigers in Tampa.  I received a heart-warming email from her following the trip that I wanted to share with you.

"I wanted to thank you for selecting me."  wrote Ms. Brock.  "I should tell you a little about my last month or so.  On Halloween I was in a really bad car wreck.  I was T-boned on the drivers side.  I broke 7 ribs, my C3 (neck), ruptured my spleen, collapsed a lung and various cuts and bruises. I was in the ICU for 5 days and scared the heck out of my kids.  I still am wearing the halo to help stabilize my vertebrae. Then it took me another 2 weeks to get off the pain pills and start to function normally. I had just gotten back to work when I got your email."

She continues to write "I wanted to say my son and I really enjoyed the trip.  It was what we needed. He has been so worried but this trip was almost a normal me.  We had a really good time.  It was the first time we have ever been on a trip like this.  The game was awesome.  We were really into it. Of course the fact that Tech won only made it better.  His oldest brother had gone to GaTech  and he plans to someday.  The plane ride was good and the hotel was very nice. The seats at the game were good too.  We had a nice view of the field and thoroughly enjoyed the game.  It was way better than watching it in the living room."

We at Jim Ellis are so pleased that these tickets went to a member of our community who was so deserving of some time off and a little relaxation.  Congratulations, Ms. Brock for winning, I'm glad you had a great time!
