Chevrolet Silverado Saves a Life

This message was sent to Mark Frost, the General Manager of Jim Ellis Chevrolet:
Mark,
Thank you so much for returning my call today! As I mentioned to you, my son, Michael, was in a horrific accident on July 17, that involved six vehicles.
Michael was vehicle number 5 of 6, and he stopped short of hitting the car in front of him (this accident had already occurred). Unfortunately, the 18 wheeler behind Michael was unable to stop and plowed into Michael, which also pushed him into the car in front of Michael.
I am convinced that the 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 truck that Michael was driving saved his life.
This car wrapped itself around the driver's seat and kept Michael from being crushed with the impact of the 18 wheeler. The pictures really tell the story.
Michael walked away from the accident with 55 stitches to his forehead, a fractured orbital bone, a cracked rib, and being very sore from head to toe, but the important message here is that he walked away from this accident!
My younger son, Daniel, was two lanes away (in a Chevrolet Blazer) and witnessed the whole accident. Daniel was the one who dialed 911, was first on the scene and who called us. He feared that he would find Michael dead as he approached the car but was overjoyed to find that all Michael had to show for this terrifically awful accident was the cut on his head.
My husband, Terry, drives a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado truck and was involved in a head-on collision a few years back and, again, walked away from the accident and, in fact, is still driving the same truck. Terry has owned these two Chevy trucks, four Chevy Blazers and even a Chevrolet Nova. We really like Chevys!
What I am saying to you is that Chevrolet makes an amazing product, and I'm not sure if we will ever be without a Chevrolet in our family again! Michael is currently looking to replace the Silverado with a Tahoe and will not be talked into any other brand!
I want the folks in Detroit to see these photos and pass along my congratulations and gratitude to the engineers who designed this vehicle and the folks on the line who assemble these trucks. The Chevrolet people are doing important work in keeping drivers safe on our roads, and I want to let them know. Anything you can do to forward on my family's story would be
most appreciated!
On another note, Jim Ellis is a trusted name in the Atlanta community, and we are glad to have you in the area!
Sincerely,
Julia B.
