A Busy Weekend for Jim Ellis Chevrolet and our Local Community!

Tomorrow morning, runners, walkers and joggers will meet in Brookhaven at Ashford Park Elementary to run the Brookhaven Bolt 5K. The Bolt is a fundraiser benefiting the Ashford Park Elementary School, and Jim Ellis Chevrolet is a local sponsor of this event.

In a press release earlier this month, Brookhaven Bolt Executive Director Bill Sluben, ""The Brookhaven Bolt is a shining example of a community coming together in financial support of it's school in a time where public education budgets are being reduced at an alarming rate".

"The Brookhaven Bolt funds help our day-to-day operation.  The bulk of the funds go to student supplies.  Whatever isn't used immediately to fund school needs is placed into the school's operating account" Ms Fallon added.  "If we did not have the Brookhaven Bolt we would be in dire straights".

Not to mention those 82 players at Murphey Candler Little League have games Friday and Saturday!  This is the last of three Saturdays that the raffle prizes - a Chevy Malibu and a Chevy Equinox will be on display at the local games.  The raffle will be held in July. Tickets are only $5 each and the proceeds stay with the little league.

Jim Ellis Chevrolet has been in continued involvement with Murphey Candler Little League, and again this year, provided baseball equipment (these are kits complete with equipment bags, baseball buckets, dry-erase coach's clipboards and Chevy Youth Baseball t-shirts), instructional clinics with former MLB/MiLB players and coaches, as well as support for a fundraiser with a Chevy vehicle giveaway.

Play ball!
