Mitsubishi Reveals Pricing for Their Electric Car, the Mitsubishi-i


Mitsubishi's all electric car, the Mitsubishi-i (aka the Mitsubishi i-Miev which stands for Mitsubishi Innovative Electric Car) is set to hit Atlanta Mitsubishi dealerships in Fall 2011. Now Mitsubishi is announcing pricing and plans for their all-electric offering, the 2012 Mitsubishi-i ES and SE models. The environmentally friendly vehicle will sell for $27,990 and with the federal electric car tax credit of $7,500, that brings the pricing down even further to $20,490. 

This electric car achieves 85 miles on a single charge which can take 6 hours to charge at 240V and 22.5 hours at 120V.  You can get up to an 80% charge in as little as 30 minutes with the Mitsubishi-i SE Premium which makes the premium option worth a look.  Even at the base price, this electric vehicle comes with some very notable features including heated driver seat, electric air conditioning, AM/FM/CD player with MP3/WPA playback, a 100 watt 4 speaker system, LED tail lights, speed controlled power steering, and remote keyless entry.

For a $2000 upgrade to the uplevel SE, drivers will get a leather wrapped steering wheel, 8 speaker 360-watt sound system, silver interior accents on the seating, 15 inch alloy wheels, fog lamps and daytime running lamps, special two tone door and instrument panels. Those that want even more, can opt for a $2790 upgrade to the premium version of the Mitsubishi i SE that comes with a hard disk navigation system, rearview camera, FUSE hands-free link with USB port, and audio controls mounted on the steering wheel.
