For the first time in what seems like forever, Hyundai took the top of the heap for loyalty according to Kelly Blue Book (KBB). For the second quarter, Hyundai's brand loyalty score was at 52.3% percent, with Honda following at 49.7% percent and Toyota sliding in third at 47.7% percent. Ford was fourth with 45.4% and Subaru was fifth with 44.8%.
Honda and Toyota has always sat on the top of the list and while Hyundai won the battle before in February of 2010, this is the first time that the car manufacturer has been able to stay on the top for an entire quarter which is phenomenal news for Hyundai.
Hyundai has been trying to shake the "start up" tag since they came to fruition in the mid 1980's. But now it appears that their quality vehicles have been able to woo Hyundai owners enough to consider purchasing the same make for their next purchase. An honor that has been held by other manufacturers but one that has eluded Hyundai,...until now.
