We are truly excited to recognize Danielle Nelson as the June 2024 Jim Ellis Client Champion! Danielle is a receptionist at Porsche Atlanta Perimeter. Danielle was nominated by Sales Manager Tommy Walter.
The Jim Ellis Client Champion award has been presented monthly since 2014 to a Jim Ellis team member who goes above and beyond to deliver the Jim Ellis Promise to one of our guests. With more than 1,700 team members in the organization, only a small percentage of team members each year receive this honor.
Here is the story behind why Danielle was nominated as the monthly Client Champion:
Danielle noticed an elderly gentleman in the Porsche Atlanta Perimeter parking lot attempting to park his vehicle, but seeming to struggle to identify and park in any of the open spaces. The gentleman parked his car and proceeded to come in and ask for directions to the post office and to the nearest restroom. As Danielle spoke to him, she realized that he seemed a bit frazzled and unaware of his location/surroundings, so she quickly brought him a cup of water to see if it would help calm him and help him think clearly. As they sat together in the lounge area of the dealership and Danielle spoke with him further, it became clear that he may need further assistance. She asked him if there was anyone she could call to come pick him up and ultimately ended up reaching out to Doraville emergency services and to the gentleman’s neighbor for assistance. During the interaction, the gentleman revealed that his power had recently been shut off sometime earlier due to an unpaid bill. When the neighbor learned about this while picking the gentleman up, the neighbor decided to help pay the bill to restore the power in the man’s home. We are so thankful to have someone as empathetic and present as Danielle on our team to take the time to get the man the attention he needed and to facilitate a solution to the issue he was having with his power.
