We are truly excited to recognize King Davis as the March 2025 Jim Ellis Client Champion! King is a sales associate at Jim Ellis Toyota of McDonough. He was nominated for this honor in recognition of his exceptional dedication and willingness to go above and beyond for his customers.
The Jim Ellis Client Champion award has been presented monthly since 2014 to a Jim Ellis team member who goes above and beyond to deliver the Jim Ellis Promise to one of our guests. With more than 1,700 team members in the organization, only a small percentage of team members each year receive this honor.
Here is the story behind why King was nominated as the monthly Client Champion:
A customer recently visited Jim Ellis Toyota of McDonough to purchase a vehicle as a surprise gift for her daughter’s milestone birthday. Her daughter believed she would be receiving an older used car purchased online, but in reality, she had chosen a brand-new Toyota to gift her instead. What seemed like a routine vehicle purchase carried a much deeper meaning. The family had experienced a significant loss two years prior, and the customer wanted to create a special moment to bring joy to her daughter during a difficult time.
To keep the surprise intact, the customer needed assistance getting both her vehicle and the new vehicle home. Without hesitation, King stepped in to help. He personally drove the new vehicle to the customer’s home, ensuring everything went smoothly. But he didn’t stop there, he stayed to help set up the perfect reveal.
When the surprise was unveiled, the reaction was unforgettable. King was there every step of the way, walking the recipient through the features of her new vehicle and making sure she felt confident and excited about her first car. In that moment, he wasn’t just a salesperson — he became part of a lasting memory for the family.
King’s actions that day exemplify what it means to go above and beyond for a customer. He didn’t just see the purchase as another transaction, rather he recognized the significance behind it and took it upon himself to make the experience as special as possible. His willingness to step up and create a meaningful moment speaks volumes about his character and commitment to service.
