We are proud to recognize Ryan Jang as the May 2025 Jim Ellis Client Champion! Ryan is a valued member of the sales team at Volvo Cars Mall of Georgia, and he was nominated for this award in recognition of his compassion, quick response, and exceptional care for a customer in distress.

Since 2014, the Jim Ellis Client Champion award has been presented monthly to a team member who exemplifies what it means to deliver the Jim Ellis Promise. With more than 1,700 team members across the organization, being selected as a Client Champion is a true testament to an individual’s character and dedication to service.

Here’s the story that led to Ryan’s nomination:

About a month after purchasing her vehicle from Volvo Cars Mall of Georgia, a customer found herself in a stressful and frightening situation. While out enjoying the beautiful weather with her child, her vehicle suddenly broke down on an unfamiliar rural road. Stranded with cars piling up behind her, she felt overwhelmed and unsure of what to do. She quickly called 911 — and also reached out to Ryan, who had assisted her with the purchase.

Even though it was his day off, Ryan didn’t hesitate. Perhaps identifying with her distress as a fellow parent — especially after hearing her child crying in the background — he arrived at the scene in just 20 minutes. He immediately took charge of the situation: organizing the tow, staying by her side, and ensuring she and her child were safe and supported throughout the entire process. Once they arrived back at the dealership, Ryan personally facilitated the post-service steps, making the experience as smooth and stress-free as possible.

For a customer whose first language is not English, Ryan’s calm presence and proactive care meant the world. His actions offered more than just help — they provided reassurance, kindness, and trust, long after the sale ended.

Ryan’s commitment to going above and beyond — not just as a salesperson, but as a compassionate human being — perfectly embodies the spirit of the Jim Ellis Promise.
